Woodemead Development For Shakaskraal

Woodmead, a Standard Bank fully integrated property development on the extremely busy R102 on the North Coast of KZN, has now broken ground for phase 1 of the residential component.  The focus of this 428 hectare initiative, situated in Shakaskraal just north of Ballito, is affordable housing and job creation for the local community and includes:

  •  a retail node of 9.5 ha
  • an industrial node of over 15ha 
  • a residential node of 3400 homes

 

1 ha of land, adjacent to the retail component of Woodmead, has been sold to the Municipality of KwaDukuza for the establishment of a large transport node and taxi rank.

The industrial node is fully serviced and ready for construction.  Sasko Bakery recently completed the construction of their new bakery and they are fully operational.

The establishment of King Shaka International Airport on the North Coast has stimulated interest from businesses and investors alike in this rapidly growing node.  Platformed and serviced industrial land is extremely well-priced from R450 sq/m with sites ranging in size from 6000 sq/m to 21000 sq/m.
